About the Cup!

Back in the early 90's two teams in the old NPSL use to play for the Bud cup made of  old bud beer can's, the two teams were the worst team in the league and needed something to play for.they came up with the bud cup witch was made up from a night of drinking and watching the Stanley cup. With about 72 cans and some duck tape the cup was born! The two teams "the storm and the sting" play for it twice a year it was a heated rivalry with hot tempers and garbage cans thrown on the ice, but most of all a good time! The bud cup is all but gone and recycled but it's memory lives on in the Miller cup.

With the start of the Monday Night League we needed a trophy and the idea of the Bud cup came up so with a night of drinking after a pick up game the Miller cup was born!!The cup is made up of 72 Miller cans and stands about 3 feet high and has every name of  each player that has won a season championship. The cup had been all over Seattle, lynnwood and other surrounding areas in bars attics basements back yards and  garbage cans. The cup has disappeared for a time only to show up just before it needed to be awarded.
